Tourist Point: Changdeokgung, also known as Changdeokgung Palace or Changdeok Palace, is set within a large park in Jongno District, Seoul, South Korea. It is one of the "Five Grand Palaces" built by the kings of the Joseon dynasty.

Changdeokgung Palace, which is located in Seoul, South Korea, is a notable UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was recognized for its beauty and architectural significance in the history of palace architecture in East Asia, as well as for its harmonious integration with the surrounding natural environment. The palace was built by King Taejong in 1405, during the Joseon Dynasty.

During the Imjin War, the palace, like many other buildings, was destroyed and lost. But it was later reconstructed in 1610 during the reign of King Gwanghaegun, and served as the primary royal palace of the Joseon Dynasty for nearly 270 years.

Visitors to Changdeokgung Palace can take a guided tour of the palace, which is divided into two main programs. The first is a general tour, which covers the main hall, Injeongjeon  (仁政殿), and Nakseonjae (樂善齋). The second is a special tour, which focuses on the Howon area, starting from the entrance of Buyongji to Okryucheon. This tour highlights the palace's ecosystem conservation efforts, including its various ponds and gardens.
